BLUEFIELD - Men's volleyball wrapped up regular season play by observing Senior Day, honoring four seniors and defeating Midway University in four sets Saturday afternoon at the Dome Gymnasium.
Chaz Franqui, Aieron Leary,
Andre Cardamone, and
Chris Dixon took to the Dome court for the final time and helped lead BC to a four-set win, 25-16, 22-25, 25-18, 25-23.
Franqui, BC's all-time assist leader, finished the match with 41 assists. Cardamone had 11 digs. Leary had eight digs and Dixon had three block assists.
Also key for the Rams in the match were
Alberto Chiaparini with 26 kills and
Carleek Owens with 12 kills.
With the win BC finished the regular season with a school record 14 wins. The Rams are 14-16 overall and 7-7 in the Mid-South Conference. The Conference tournament opens Friday at Bowling Green High School in Bowling Green, Ky. The Rams are seeded seventh and will take on 10th seed Cincinnati Christian at noon. The winner of that match will play No. 2 seed Life on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
