Milligan uses late surge to sink Rams

BLUEFIELD - After celebrating Senior Night at the Dome Gymnasium, the Bluefield College Rams suffered a hard 71-69 AAC loss against the Milligan College Buffaloes.
Before the start of the game, the seniors that were recognized were Jorge Concepcion III, Olatunji Ebifemi, Donal Gooch, Ty'quon Reid, and Francisco Williams.
To start the game, Reid made the first score for Bluefield. Not long after that, Milligan tied the game at two, then continued to increase their lead by five more points which made the score 7-2. Little by little, the Rams scratched at the lead and tied the game at nine. After the Buffaloes took back the lead and had a five-point advantage, the Rams regained the lead 24-16, the largest lead of eight points this whole first half of the game. Going into the half, the Rams were on top 28-27.
Milligan started the second half with a three-point shot, and the Rams quickly tied the game at 30. After the Rams tied the game, they took the lead and continued to slowly increase their lead until Milligan came back and tied at 38. With multiple shots taken from both the Rams and the Buffaloes, the score advanced to 48-45, Rams.
Milligan later took the lead at 64-63 and pushed ahead by six points, 69-63. The Buffaloes kept increasing their lead with less than one minutes left in the game, 71-69. The final score for the game was 71-69, Milligan.
Cousins led the Rams with 17 points and Concepcion had 16. Ebifemi and Jermiah Jenkins both added 12 points. Aaron Levarity and Bo Pless each had 18 to lead Milligan.
