LEBANON, Tenn. - Men's volleyball gained its first win of the season, defeating host Cumberland (Tenn.) University in three sets in the opening match of the Off The Block Grow The Game Challenge, Friday evening 25-17, 25-20, 25-22.
Chaz Franqui paced the Rams with 26 assists, while Alberto Chiaparini had 12 kills and eight blocks. Eric Duron added seven blocks and Carleek Owens had six digs.
The Rams are back in action in the two-day event Saturday morning as they take on Fontbonne (Mo.) University at 11 a.m.
