BLUEFIELD – It was a Ram tough battle at the East River Soccer Complex as men's soccer defeated the Columbia International University Rams 2-1, Monday night in an AAC contest. With the win the BC Rams gained their second conference win of the season.
For the second straight match Bluefield opened the scoring with a penalty kick goal from Duarte Ferreira. Ferreira's PK goal came in the 34th minute.
Bluefield added to its lead in the 49th minute when Kevin Stoffle took a pass from Brian Vasquez and found the back of the net.
Columbia International got on the board in the 70th minute.
Sven Kleinhans had 10 saves for BC.
