BLUEFIELD – Women's soccer returned to the East River soccer pitch for the first time since Sept. 26 and dropped a hard-fought 2-0 match to the St. Andrews University Knights.
After a scoreless first half, SAU notched the game's first goal in the 54
th minute when Madi Castro found the back of the net. The teams battled tough throughout until SAU added its final goal in the 86
th minute.

The win was St. Andrews' first of the season in seven games. The Knights season shortened as a result of Hurricane Florence which devastated the St. Andrews campus and forced cancellation of many sporting events and caused much damage to Laurinburg, N.C.
