Taylor Bryant scored two goals to help lead the BC women's soccer team to its first win of the season, 5-1 over Warren Wilson College, Wednesday evening at the East River Soccer Complex.
Bluefield got the scoring started when
Camaro Cook scored her first goal as a Ram in the 42nd minute. BC carried that 1-0 lead into the intermission.
Bluefield increased its lead to 3-0 thanks to Bryant's goals, one in the 57th minute, the other in the 71st minute and off an assist from
Jacquelyn Chick.
Warren Wilson got its only score in the 72nd minute but BC responded quickly with a score in the 73rd minute from
Megan Norton. The Rams' final score came from
Karlene Tuininga in the 84th minute.
The win marked the first coaching victory at Bluefield College for
Joshua Miller. The Rams are back in action on Saturday, hosting new Appalachian Athletic Conference member Brenau (Ga.) University at the East River Soccer Complex at 2 p.m.
