BLUEFIELD - Women's soccer notched its third win of the season Tuesday night, with a 7-0 win over Kentucky Christian University at the East River Soccer Complex.
Bluefield jumped out early on the Knights as
Cynthia Brown boomed a kick from nearly 50 yards out in the 29th minute to put the Rams ahead 1-0.
Emma Donohoe connected on a 25 yard kick that bounced over the head of the KCU keeper in the 32nd minute to make it 2-0 and Madison Stokes found the back of the net from about 20 yards out, left of goal in the 41st minute to give the Rams a 3-0 lead going into the break.
Bluefield continued its dominance in the second half when
Garyn Stowers headed the ball into the net off a corner kick from
Kortney Wells.
Megan Norton's free kick from 25 yards out made it 5-0, and Donohoe got her second goal of night with a dribbler past the goal keeper to make it 6-0. Norton got her secong goal of the game in the 89th minute with an assist from Stokes to make the final score 7-0.
The Rams are now 3-4 on the season and host Tennessee Wesleyan in a conference match, Friday at 4:30 p.m.
