Box Score BLUEFIELD - The Reinhardt Eagles came to Bluefield looking for a win to nail down second place in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. The BC Rams, on Senior Day, had different plans.
The Rams got a career high 19 points from senior
Khadier Fulcher, and 16 points and 13 rebounds from senior
Cordaris Townes and claimed an 82-80 win, snapping a four-game Bluefield skid.
The Rams led by 11 points, 44-33 at halftime, and midway through the second half Reinhardt, coached by Jason Gillespie, who preceded
Richard Morgan as BC's head coach, took the lead. The teams battled back and forth and the game was not settled until the final seconds. A Reinhardt trey at the buzzer brought the visitors to within two points.
Jorge Concepcion III and Isaiah Gill each scored 12 points for Bluefield and
Tony Hood added 11.
Samuel Bunkley led Reinhardt and all scorers with 25 points.
The Rams finished the regular season with a 13-17 record, 10-10 in the AAC, and await pairings for the league tournament which begins Wednesday in Kingsport, Tenn. Reinhardt finishes the season at 20-8, 13-7 in league play and will be the No. 3 seed in next week's conference tournament.
Prior to the game Fulcher and Townes were recognized as the seniors on the BC team.
