Box Score BLUEFIELD, Va. – A red-hot start and four players scoring in double figures propelled the Bluefield College men's basketball team to a 101-62 victory over the Truett-McConnell College Bears, Saturday afternoon at the Dome Gymnasium.
The Rams built a 20-point lead early in the first half and never looked back, connecting on 70 percent of their shots in the first 20 minutes to take a 54-28 lead into the intermission.
Cordaris Towns paced BC on both ends of the court as he scored 20 points, pulled down eight rebounds and blocked three shots.. Zeke Williams contributed 18 points and Robert Pinkston came off the bench to put in 11, including a three. Alonzo Howard finished with 10 points and seven rebounds.
The Rams made 14 three-point baskets in the game. Williams made four-of-eight while Joseph McClain, Tony Hood and Darius Scott were all two-for-four from behind the arc.
The Rams are now 14-10 overall and 6-8 in the AAC. They return to the court Wednesday at Montreat.
