Rams stop Bryan

Box Score BLUEFIELD, Va. - Sidney Knox had a team-high 20 points to lead the Bluefield College Rams to an 88-73 Appalachian Athletic Conference win over the Bryan College Lions, Wednesday night at the Dome Gymnasium. The Rams overcame a first half six-point deficit to claim the win.
A tightly conested first half saw Bryan open their biggest lead before Bluefield, down 38-32, whittled away at the lead in the second half going on an 8-2 run to tie the game at 40.  The Rams took the lead only to see Bryan force ties at 42 and later at 67 before Bluefield closed the game on a 21-7 run to claim the victory.
Zeke Williams finished with 19, Joseph McClain 17 and Cordaris Towns 16 to top the Rams' scoring column. Towns had a team-high nine rebounds along with two blocks. Bluefield shot 45 percent from the field in the game, including 29 percent from behind the three-point line.
Bryan was led by the AAC's leading scorer, Brandon Cole. Cole came into the game averaging 29 points a game and scored a game-high 28 points along with 11 rebounds. Robert Troino finished with 22 points and Reagan Johnson added 10. The Lions hit 41 percent of their shots in the game.
Bluefield improved to 11-9 overall and 4-7 in the AAC. Bryan fell to 10-9 overall and 5-5 in conference games. The Rams return to the court Saturday afternoon at Allen University in Columbia, S.C.
