Sam Bennett rewrote the Rams' modern era record book during the month of October, as he rushed for 514 yards in three games and scored five touchdowns to help the Rams take back-to-back victories over Belhaven and Union.

Against Belhaven, Bennett rushed 13 times for 138 yards, scoring twice. 

He backed that up with 30 carries for 276 yards in the Rams' 68-56 win at Belhaven. His three scores are the most in a single game for a player since the program's return.

Bennett earned back-to-back NCCAA Football Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week honors for each of those performances.

For the month, he averaged 171.3 yards per game on 19.7 carries per game.
